My friend that set up my website died suddenly, and I’m sorta lost. I always counted on him to do whatever I needed. So now I’m trying…in the meantime, my body is not doing well, so I’m not doing all of my old activities. Steve and I drove to Sun City to see Joe Biden – we are both volunteers for the Obama campaign and anxious to see him. Took buttons with us and sold while people were standing in line to get in. We sold $118 bucks worth of buttons, gave away lots to volunteers […] Just went to a thank-you coffee, given by OAT and Grand Circle. It was very nice. About 350 of us attendng, more old than young, I must say. I guess more Grand Circle people. Anyway, it was at a hotel, very good breakfast, then a nice guy and large staff to “thank” us, slide presentation […] The next weekend we went to the Serbian Church and had a good time! There was a wonderful 3-piece Serbian band, who played dance music for us. There was Serbian food. There was a performance by the children and teenagers of the church, and lots of dancing afterwards. A good time was had by all […] A group of folk dancers decided to attend this year’s Oktoberfest, put on by the German-American Club in Pinellas Park. We have been to others, and the main problem has been to find seating in the large tent. So this year, we sent Dylan and Bonnie there to get us a table the minute the […] The Florida Orchestra is wonderful! Even though they have continual financial problems, and the musicians receive less and less salary as the years go by, they must be kept alive! The performances on Oct 14, 15 and 16, included Mozart’s Overture to The Abduction from the Seraglio, Haydn’s Military Symphony and for the second half […] Ellie dancing Ellie – 2 years old and doing her favorite Israeli dance This video is of our youngest dancer who belongs to Dan and Allison. (November 28 2010) Sounds good? IT WAS! Two gals, Erin Mackey and Julia Murney sang marvelous songs from all my favorite musicals, which couldn’t have been better. The orchestra introduced the evening with the Overture to Gypsy and parts of Carmen. I have never been disappointed by the Florida Orchestra. Too bad they aren’t better […] |
