MUSICAL WEEKEND

Life is good!  The 3rd of July found me at a party across the street from my daughter, with great food and good conversation with 2 guys who had traveled as much as me, and comparisons flew!  We had to leave tho so Mick could go to work, so I went on to play music at our monthly jam at 4 Green Fields.  I took a break to go to the yoga class in Curtis Hixon Park, then back for more music.  On the 4th, Mick, Andy and I went to  Paula’s party on St. Pete Beach where there was also a musical jam happening, as well as good food and great fireworks on the beach for a bang-up evening!  The 5th found me at my usual Israeli Dance and our little two-year old did a whole dance!  I can’t seem to get my video of  it to send out – maybe it’s too long, but so cute!  (Try this –  I put it on youtube Ellie dancing or this:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQ4gnfWHt5g)  Wednesday Ursula and I went to Sarasota for their “Stomp”, where once again there was good dancing and food to boot!  Thursday I had my knee lube job done, but got to go fencing (no music, no food, just good), and Friday the 8th was my oldest daughter’s birthday.  No music, but we ate at the Olive Garden, which is always good and the whole family was there to wear my birthday buttons (a tradition).  Saturday night was a contra dance in Pinellas Park, not the best dancing, but at least we were there and with the theme of food, there were very nice snacks.  On Sunday, instead of going to yoga in the park, I went to Sarasota with Kathie and Jim to play music at Sara and Jim’s – saw their marvelous new house that includes a second house, a barn, garden, grove, chickens and two new German shepherds to add to their original.  Great music and even greater food!  I took my music buttons for fun, and we all got some good laughs, while a couple of people took some home.  I’m afraid to step on a scale, but what a great week altogether!
